The scanner killed it. I tried getting it as close to where you can actually see the shading.
It's at that point where I am frustrated with it. It seems like something's off, but it could be that it's at the frustrating stage. I haven't gotten to the ears yet. I started it months ago actually. Like, March.
It's just, ack, frustrating me. It's to the point where I look at it and groan in frustration.
Suggestions anyone?
Tools so far--2H pencil, mechanical pencil, tortillons (for shading), my fingers, sketch book paper
I think is looking good. About what's wrong... let me see............. Maybe the separation between the eyes and the nose is a little long. The chin could be a little more roundy maybe. There's also 2 lines on the central part of the neck, over the collarbone, that I'm not sure what they're. Can't think anything else...
You're missing the 'it' after 'think' in your first sentence. What is looking good? It is looking good. Or the picture. Whatever you choose.
Eh, I don't think that's it. The two lines on top of the collarbone is that dip in your throat. XD At least, I have a dip there above my collarbone. I think it's the shading that's bugging me most.
I think that's it too. It's just at that utterly frustrating stage where I don't know where to go from there. XD I put the lines there for guiding myself.
It works not to look at it for a long while. Your eye gets used to it if you stare, and you don't see what's off. Rest the eye from it for some time, and then look at it agan.

Oh, that. I would rather do that just with shading.
I think the shading is fine. May be because it's unfinished.
